How To Help
You can help women who have made the choice for recovery, for themselves, and for their children.
Donations
WRS depends in part upon public donations to continue its work. Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy. Click the Give Online button to make a donation. Upon receipt we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. Thank you for your support!
Your donation of $50 provides:
- A month's worth of diapers for a newborn, born clean and sober to a mother new in recovery, or
- A set of recovery books and parenting books for women at WRS learning to live and to parent free of drugs and alcohol, or
- Games, toys and art supplies for children in residence or visiting and playing together with their mothers at WRS
- Celebration for women successfully completing WRS 120 day residential and 9 month AfterCare programs, with recovery medallions and a special silver butterfly necklace marking a year of new recovery
Your donation of $100 provides:
- Birthday gifts and bike helmets for every child living at WRS with their mothers in new recovery, or
- A supply of hygiene and grooming products for four women during their 120 day treatment stay
Your donation of $500 provides:
- Repair and replacement costs for kitchen appliances, washers/driers, plumbing, etc.
Donation of Materials
Clothing, bedding, building and repair materials, office equipment and supplies, groceries, etc.-- all these can help with the work of WRS. Click the Contact Us button to let us know what you'd like to donate. Thank you for your support!
Volunteer
WRS is deeply grateful to its many volunteers who donate time, services and skills to help women in recovery and their children. WRS depends in part on the generosity of volunteers who donate their time and expertise, through the community's Day of Caring, and in many other day to day ways.
