Rebuilding Together

Rebuilding Together’s mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities assuring that low income homeowners may have safety and independence. In partnership with communities, the goal is to make a sustainable impact. It is the largest national volunteer organization dedicated to rehabilitating homes and communities.

Each year the number of homes and non profit community sites repaired by Rebuilding Together has increased. These repairs are free to the homeowner or non profit organization. They are proud of their progress and the service provided to the community.

Projects are financed by generous donations from corporations, corporate foundations, banks, service clubs and individuals. Rebuilding Together  receives no city, county, state or federal money to do this work. A house or community site sponsorship is currently $4,000 and by using volunteer labor, skilled and unskilled, and in kind donations, one dollar is quintupled in value.

Women’s Recovery Services has been extremely fortunate to have been selected in 2004, 2006 and 2007 as recipients of Rebuilding Together. Some of the highlights of the work done over the years include:

In 2004 five of our six buildings on our facility were painted on the exterior; downspouts were installed and roof repairs with a new gutter system.
