Redwood Empire

Redwood Empire Auxiliary of Assistance League of Sonoma County is a volunteer group of working women dedicated to helping others in the community in which they live.

REA is non profit, non political and non sectarian.  It is a tax exempt, charitable organization devoted to assisting Sonoma County residents to a better, more meaningful life.  They consistently return over 75% of their philanthropic income to community service.  All projects are staffed by volunteers only and funded by Redwood Empire Auxiliary of Assistance League of Sonoma County.

One philanthropic project is providing new and used clothing and toys for children, infants to three years and resource guides for teen parents enrolled in Sonoma County Health Services “Help for Teen Parents”.

The second project is refurbishing and redecorating apartments for women and their young children and infants who are residents in Women’s Recovery Services for addiction treatment.  Each year REA selects an apartment and paints, installs carpet and linoleum, installs blinds and purchases new furniture, when needed.  Rooms are always left with new bedding and bedspreads.  From time-to-time, when funds are available vacuums, ceiling fans, strollers and rocking chairs have been purchased and given to the facility.
